A Brood IV Magicicada looks up at me from his perch in a bush. The 17 year cycle of the cicadas was a few years back. We won't see each other for some years to come.

Daddy Longlegs gone wild. It must have been a party.

I wasn't invited.

Tranparency in Beetles

 

How cool is this? It's a beetle with a transparent bubble around it! In the sun, it positively glows a metallic gold. It's a Golden Tortoise Beetle.
