I was thrilled to see Nipper the Dog still sits atop the building in Albany, NY. I was up there for my high school reunion. My father used to deliberately drive by Nipper when I was a child. I had to check it out to make sure he's still there! And, he is!
My Addiction
I don't leave my apartment without a camera on me. Yes, I obviously have a problem. Let me share it with you. To learn more about this blog (assuming you want to learn more), check out Welcome to my World

Plainfield Train Station in Sepia
One thing I loved about my first digital camera (Pentax) is that it had all these modes I could take shots with -- from illustrator, to black and white, to sepia and more. No need for editing, just take the shot in the mode I wanted. That camera started my addiction.

Park Liquors ... or not
I love old neon signs for defunct businesses long gone. There is no liquor store there. Plainfield, NJ.

The Vincent Sprawl
This is how Vincent sleeps sprawled horizontally across my bed, too. Can he take up any MORE room? I need a bigger bed.

Man on the Platform
Yeah, I heavily edited this one. But it was boring otherwise. I saw possibilities and I went for them! Did it work?

Sex Street
Heh. She said "Sex" Street. Truth in photography -- it's actually Essex Street (LES, Manhattan) at night with the flash on. How juvenile of me! Heh. Sex Street.

It's All Uphill From Here
The Plainfield Train Station westbound platform approach pre-dawn. Sigh. I enjoy the challenge of taking night shots without a flash. Sometimes they work out.

Tranparency in Beetles
How cool is this? It's a beetle with a transparent bubble around it! In the sun, it positively glows a metallic gold. It's a Golden Tortoise Beetle.

Stereotypical Much?
Now, if this isn't a stereotypical dirty old man, I don't know what it is! He shuffled quickly to peep around the corner at her!

Stroller on the Street
Why are there so many abandoned baby strollers/carriages in Plainfield? Abductions by aliens? Why haven't we heard about this in the mainstream press?

Cicada Killer! Eek!
Yes, it's real. And, yes, it's flying at me. No, it doesn't sting. It's a cicada killer wasp. I'm no cicada!
